Grüner Veltliner Schütt Smaragd 2009, Emmerich Knoll, Wachau
On of Austria's top producers, Weingut Knoll is a family owned winery located in Unterloiben, currently run by the second and third generations of Emmerich Knolls. The Schütt vineyard produces a superb Grüt Veltliner, with a fine balance of fresh and elegant aromas, and real feeling of weight and texture on the palate. -
Rioja Gran Reserva 1978, Campillo
The Campillo estate was oficially opened in its current form in 1990, following a 20-year process of acquisition of a range of prime vineyard sites in Rioja Alavesa, although the existing vineyards have been harvested throughout. This 1978 Gran Reserva is fully mature now, and offers astonishing aromatic complexity and velvety tannins.
